TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE
"Time waits for no one" is an old saying, but how true it is. A couple of weeks ago, I celebrated another birthday. My brother took me out for a birthday lunch. I always enjoy spending time with him. But I still felt an unrest within me. A longing if you will for those who couldn't share this day with me because they were no longer here or because they are too busy or unconcerned to see how time slips away. Before you know it, that person is also gone. Then the "Oh I wish I would have spent more time with them, or been there for them, etc., etc., etc." Too late. Why do people wait too long? So indeed they find that instead of saying "Hello,", they're truly saying "Bye, bye, bye."

SO WHAT ARE YOUR WAITING FOR?
If yesterday is dead and gone and tomorrow may never come, what do I need to do to set things right today?
One thing that is guaranteed and that is time passes and it goes…..bye, bye, bye! No more second chances, no more “one more time,” no more “give me one more day, no more “I should haves.” It’s done. It’s gone. So what is it that I need to do today? Right here, right now.

When all those around you say you can’t do this or you can’t do that; do it anyway.
When they point and stare and say you’ll never amount to anything, show them anyway.
When you want to be appreciated for the hard work that you’ve done and you’re still
overlooked, don’t give up. Someone sooner or later will recognize your efforts so do it anyway.
Don’t do anything just to please someone else. Do it because it pleases you and know you won’t always win the popularity vote, but do it anyway.
And when you’re tired and weary, beat down and bruised by all the naysayers who wag their tongues relentlessly, don’t give up. No sir. Pick yourself up and brush yourself off. Get up on your feet, with head held high……..go ahead let a little smile escape from the corners of your mouth if you want (you know you want to)……..and then turn and look them straight in the eye and do it anyway!
